Calling artists to lead creative sessions with early years!

Applications are now open for freelance artists to join our Curious Tots and Play:Make:Art programmes from September 2022 – August 2023.  

Curious Tots is our creative and sensory workshop project for babies and pre-walking children and Play:Make:Art is our creative arts workshop project for children aged 2-5 years and their adults. 

This year’s Play Make Art programme will form part of our Cultural Reforesting work, where we are asking the question: how can we renew our relationship with nature?

This year’s Curious Tots programme forms part of our Play/Imagination work, where we are asking the question: how do play and imagination have an impact on everyday lives? 

The artists will lead on planning and delivering each of the workshops and work with us to test new ideas and approaches.  

The Artist Brief for each project can be seen below, including details on how to submit application. Applications for each project must be submitted separately. The deadline for applications is 9 am, Monday 27 June 2022. 

This is a paid, freelance role and we are keen to work with artists from a variety of backgrounds with different skills, stories, and experiences. Applications are encouraged regardless of age, caring responsibilities, disability, gender, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation.
