More Artists Unveiled!

We’re continuing to introduce you to our 11 incredible Reimagine artists. Check back over the next few days for more!

Bessie Millar

Bessie Millar graduated with a first class degree from Edinburgh College of Art and was awarded the Andrew Grant Bequest Scholarship for postgraduate study. Her sculptures and paintings have been exhibited widely at international art fairs and exhibitions including with the Crafts Council at the V&A. Taking inspiration from the world around her with her en plein air painting, Bessie captures fleeting moments exploring colour, texture and pattern. She finds solstice in calm landscapes amongst the bustle of London life, transporting the viewer with her to another place.

Hanne Peeraer

Hanne Peeraer’s work touches on the themes of intangibility, phantasmagoria, and philosophy of mind. She studied Painting in Ghent, Belgium for one year before moving to London. She is currently enrolled in the Fine Art Painting course at UAL: Wimbledon College of Arts.

Jan Lee Johnson

After gaining her B.A. Hons in Fine Art, Jan Lee Johnson became the first woman to work as a scenic painter at the BBC. She worked in film, TV and commercials for 20 years and as a Court Artist for three years, drawing character sketches from memory for news media. She has taught at the V&A and teaches regular iPad drawing workshops at Kew Gardens. She works from her studio in Ham, Richmond.
