Families in the Forest 2023

Explore the Orleans House grounds through a series of encounters with inhabitants past and present. 

Grab your walking shoes and come and join us for a led tour through the woods.  We will encounter lots of creatures and trees, maybe even an antelope. Tread the ground, touch, feel, listen and smell as you imagine yourself as an animal.  Each creature will guide our movements in the woods. They will help us to think about our own role in the natural world.

This activity takes place outdoors and the Orleans House Gallery woodland is wild, so please dress appropriately for exploring this space and for the weather on the day. 

The tour is aimed at children aged 3-8 years, though smaller and older ones are welcome to join as well. Please book a ticket for every person attending. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

As groups are small, please let us know if you are unable to attend and we can free your ticket for someone else.  

Families are welcome to come back and revisit, but please do bear in mind that the tour structure will be the same each time.
